2011-13 Energy Tax Credits
NOTE: Federal Tax Credits for our Energy Saving Home Improvement products have been extended through the 2013 fiscal year. (source)
Overview
On December 17, 2010, President Obama signed the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010. This law extends the tax credits for energy efficiency through 2013, BUT at lower levels. The levels revert back to those in effect in 2006 and 2007, which were 10% of the cost of the improvement, up to $500, with a $200 max for windows, and several other set maximums. Roofing, Siding, and Windows from ABC Seamless qualify for tax credits under the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010. We have prepared a 1-page tax credit handout summarizing our tax credit certifications.

Roofing – (view roofing page)
Any asphalt and metal roofing meeting the energy star standard in the region in which installed.
All of the ABC Steel Roofing products are treated for extreme energy savings with Cool Chemistry® coatings from Akzo Nobel. The coating makes 26 different colors and styles of the roofing for the tax credit.
Windows – (view windows page)
Windows are the most complicated portion of the tax credit standards. Eligibility is not based on Energy Star standards, but on individual window performance. Almost all ABC Windows qualify for the tax credit, but you will need to work with your sales representative to determine which of your selected windows will contribute to your tax credit under this Act.
Siding – (view siding page)
Only siding projects backed with insulation meeting certified energy efficiency standards are eligible for the credit. ABC Seamless utilizes ProFoam insulation behind our siding.
* ABC Seamless does not install insulation behind its siding in all climate zones. Notify your sales representative of your intent to claim the insulation tax benefit to insure that this product protects your home.
